Przychodzi taki moment w naszym życiu, że musimy zaopiekować się swoimi rodzicami. Zazwyczaj nie przychodzi to łatwo. Wcześniej wiedliśmy normalne życie. Sami decydowaliśmy o swoich zajęciach i o tym, jak spędzamy wolny czas. Ale co tu zrobić, gdy 90. letni rodzic przestał radzić sobie samemu. Już nie wystarczy codzienna rozmowa telefoniczna. Także już nie wystarczy codzienne przygotowywanie obiadu. Osobie w tym wieku potrzebna jest całodobowa opieka. Lekarstwa, pampersy, mycie …. Przecież nie oddamy jej do domu starców. Sami też nie chcielibyśmy znaleźć się w takim przybytku. I co tu zrobić? Z trudem przychodzi decyzja o przeprowadzeniu się. Zazwyczaj dom naszego dzieciństwa nie był remontowany od wielu lat. Gdy kiedyś mieszkaliśmy w nim, to było fajnie. Ale dzisiaj przywykliśmy do innych standardów. A remont? Jest bardzo kosztowny i nie każdego stać na to. Więc cóż. Trzeba zagryźć zęby i wierzyć, że nami w tym wieku ktoś się także zaopiekuje.
